Art
The pupils were asked to produce some art work using birds as their inspiration.

Birds, Thomas Wilson
Monoprinting
Our Y7's (05/06) did some art work based around monoprinting. They came up with some inspiration and based their print on that.
For an Art lesson Thomas was asked to illustrate the following poem;
The Lonely Scarecrow
My poor old bones - I've only two -A broomstick and a broken stave,
My ragged gloves are a disgrace,
My one peg foot is int grave.
I wear the labourer's old clothes;
Coat, shirt and trousers all undone.
I bear my cross upon a hill
In rain and shine, in snow and sun.
I cannot help the way I look.
- O, wild birds, come and nest in me!
Why do you always fly away?
The original artwork was an A3 pencil drawing using coloured pencils.
GCSE artwork
The red and black dots are stickers and were added by hand, I haven't counted them, but there are lots and it took Scott quite a while to complete. Note also that they were aligned by eye (no rulers or protractors etc.) ... and they are all in perfect rows!
The original artwork was done on a piece of white hardboard 2 feet (60cm) x 4 feet (120cm).
